Academics
Beta excels at setting members up for success throughout medical school and beyond. Our resource bank and abundant mentorship opportunities set our brothers up for success in STEP exams, preceptorships, and research opportunities. With over 700 living alumni, our network provides meaningful connections when applying for rotations and residency programs. We constantly have graduating members match into the most competitive residencies including neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology, and otolaryngology.
Social
Phi Beta Pi hosts multiple social events throughout the school year, including Beta Bonfire, Pub Crawl, Super Bowl Party, Beta Boil, Mardi Gras, Beer Olympics, and many others. Our house, located minutes from UTMB and The Strand, also offers a place for members to hang out.
Philanthropy
Through annual charity volleyball tournaments, blood drives, community service events, and special events at local schools, Beta offers numerous ways to serve the community throughout medical school. These opportunities not only offer members a way to give back, but they become a vital part of your resume during later years.
